With my paddle varnished and ready to go, I figured that I ought to try to break it, so I headed out to stagecoach lake. Try as I might, the paddle didn't break, so I would say that this design was bomber! For my next paddle, I want to give the blade a lower profile and make it even thinner... like 1/8", just to push the boundaries a bit.
